Components of the Scheme
The Scheme has four broad components addressing the needs of the sector:
- Support to individual and groups of micro enterprises;
- Branding and Marketing support;
- Support for strengthening of institutions;
- Setting up robust project management framework.
A) Support to Individual Micro Enterprises:
- Support is provided for both; for setting up of new enterprises and for upgradation/ expansion of the existing enterprises
- Credit linked subsidy @35% of the eligible project cost with a maximum ceiling of 10 lakh
- Organisations such as individual enterprises/ proprietorship firms/ Partnership firms/ Private Limited Companies/ FPOs/ NGOs/ SHGs/ Cooperatives
B) Support to Group Category for setting up of Common Infrastructure:
- Organisations such as FPO/SHG/Cooperatives/FPC/ Federation/ Govt. Agencies are eligible
- Substantial capacity of facility & processing line should be available for use for other units and public on hiring basis
- Credit linked Grant @ 35%with max. ceiling of Rs. 3 Cr.
- Total eligible project cost should be less than 10 Cr.
